Kayee Tam has an upcoming concert in Toronto on March 13.
If you Google search "kayee tam", "kayee tam toronto" automatically shows up.
When Kayee Tam announced on her social media that she was coming to New York City (NYC) to perform a concert, I was very excited. I thought that I was dreaming. To be honest, I had a huge crush on her for a long time. I never thought that I would actually see her in real life. Not only was my celebrity crush coming to NYC, but was coming to my hometown where I'm born and raised.

This is the flyer of the concert that was in Brooklyn. It was at the Coney Island Amphitheater. She performed along with James Ng (吳業坤) and Joey Wong (王灝兒). My mom and I have seen every movie from these three celebrities. They're all about my age. They're all younger than me. Kayee Tam is a few months younger than me.
If you Google search "kayee tam coney island", it automatically shows up as "kayee tam coney island amphitheater 11 may" and "kayee tam coney island amphitheater 12 may". The concert was held on 5/11/2024.
My local radio station, 1480 AM, was airing commercials to the concert. They also held a contest for free tickets there if you answer their trivia questions correctly. Sometimes, they would play Kayee Tam's songs.

I was planning to buy tickets to the concert at the box office because I didn't want to sign up for a Live Nation account. But luckily, the place where I go to every day, which I can't name, had a lot of free tickets there. They gave some of them to me. I invited my mom, my best friend, and his dad to the concert. My dad wasn't interested in going there. So he drove me and my mom there. A lot of people who I knew from the place that I go to every day actually attended the concert.

It was scheduled to start at 8 p.m. But it was over half an hour late. The weather was pretty cold and chilly that day.

Kayee Tam was the first person to sing. She sang her hit song, which is a cover song called "陪著你走". It's translated as "Walk With You". The original version was sung by Lowell Lo (盧冠廷). I got so excited that I told my best friend that it's the girl that I like.

James Ng, also known as "Kwan Gor", sang next. And Joey Wong, also known as "JW", sang last. She's in a TVB drama called "Your Finesse", or "痞子無間道", which is currently airing.

During breaks, Kayee Tam, James Ng, and Joey Wong talked to each other on stage about how they were enjoying NYC. They asked the audience if there was anybody who didn't know Cantonese. There were plenty of people who raised their hands up. They talked about dating, relationships, and marriage. They also talked about all the food that they were enjoying. Kayee Tam said that she enjoyed eating pancakes. She's a real foodie. She posts herself with food very often on her social media.
She said that it was her second time in NYC and her first time performing a concert in the city. She brought her mom along with her. She said that it was her mom's birthday. And this concert was held the day before Mother's Day.
A lot of people, including me, went down to the front of the stage to see a close-up of the three celebrities because when the concert was nearing the end, James Ng came down the steps to shake everybody's hands. Then, it was Joey Wong. And then lastly, it was Kayee Tam. She was singing her rap song called "Eyes On Me".

When they all went up back on stage, they sang separately. While she was singing, Joey Wong pointed at me two times and I pointed back at her as well. James Ng moved the crowd when he pointed the microphone to the audience to have them sing the chorus to his hit song, "原來她不夠愛我". In the end, they sang "Everybody Move Your Body" by Kelly Chen (陳慧琳) together.

I kept looking at Kayee Tam for the most part. I took this photo of her smiling at me. This is really unforgettable. I'll always cherish this moment. She did have her "Eyes On Me".
When the concert ended, all three celebrities were thanking the sponsors and Coney Island Amphitheater for giving them an opportunity to perform in NYC.

Not only did they perform in NYC, but they weren't touring. They came all the way to NYC from Hong Kong to perform this concert.

I know that this may sound crazy, but I really wanted to take Kayee Tam out on a date while she was in NYC. As nervous as I was, I was trying to prepare what to say to her for the meet-and-greet after the concert ended. Like I have said, she's been my celebrity crush for a long time. I even brought some photos of myself acting in a movie which I can't name. It was only a small role that I took part in during my childhood. I thought that I would show them to her to gain her trust and that I'm not some crazy fan.

When being interviewed online, Kayee Tam said that she hasn't had a boyfriend since before she was in the entertainment industry. She said that her ideal boyfriend would be someone who cares about his and her family.

I thought about taking her and her mom out to a nice restaurant and travel with them to all five boroughs of NYC to celebrate both Mother's Day and her mom's birthday along with my mom. In fact, my mom didn't know about this and I was going to surprise her. I would've wanted my mom and her mom to be friends.

So after the show, I waited at the meet-and-greet line. I assumed that all three celebrities were going to sign autographs, take photos, and talk to everybody. But little did I know that wristbands were required for the meet-and-greet. I wasn't aware about this because Live Nation never mentioned about any meet-and-greet wristbands. I didn't understand how some people had them.

I was really serious about going on a date with Kayee Tam. I tried to give some money to the security guards to let me through. But they wouldn't accept it and forced me to leave. Otherwise, they were going to call the cops on me. I couldn't believe that this had to happen to me of being mistreated by the security guards and they wouldn't give me a chance to meet and talk to Kayee Tam, James Ng, and Joey Wong. I felt so hopeless when I left.

My mom got mad at me for making her wait. She didn't know that I was at the meet-and-greet line. And I couldn't let her know that I was looking to ask Kayee Tam out on a date because like I said, I was going to surprise her. But I didn't expect that it would turn out this way.

We all had a good time at the concert. I posted it on my Facebook page.
But deep down, I was sad that I missed out on a chance to talk to and possibly go out with Kayee Tam while she was in NYC. I called my best friend on the phone to see if he and his dad were okay when they went home by train. And I called my dad to drive me and my mom back home. So that was it. Just back to normality. I couldn't fall asleep just thinking about it and I was about to cry that night. I felt like screaming out of anger because the girl of my dreams was a few feet away from me and I blew my chance with her all over some wristbands. It's always been on my mind and it really pains me to this day. I can't get over it. It makes me so heartbroken. I feel so disappointed. I keep beating myself up over this and saying negative things to myself. I don't know what I did to deserve this. I really am such a loser. A sore loser. I'm a failure in life. I feel like the dumbest person in the world. I feel so worthless. I can't believe that I have to live the rest of my life that this happened to me. There were a lot of people like me who waited at the meet-and-greet line but didn't have the wristbands and we all got upset when the security guards forced us to leave. It was really unfair to us that we were being treated this way. Although it may not be for me to decide, but the concert promoters should've made this situation different by having everybody do a meet-and-greet with the three celebrities instead of a limited number of people because they came all across the world to perform this concert. I understand that this was their show. But the fans are important, too.

The next morning on 5/12/2024, 1480 AM released some of the recordings of the concert for an hour. Some people who worked for that radio station did attend that concert.

After she left NYC, Kayee Tam posted on her social media of her trips to the west coast. She went to Los Angeles to film a music video of her song called "Be With You". She also went to Las Vegas and Vancouver.

I really would've loved to go on these trips with her and her mom along with my mom. She does post often of her vacation trips on her social media. I would've wanted us to spend some time together and get to know each other well. I would've wanted to "be with her" just like her "Be With You" song. Honestly, I wanted her to be my girlfriend.

And just like me, she's a wrestling fan. The WWE Women's Championship belt would've looked right on her. Since she wore the WWE United States Championship belt instead in this video, it makes me wish that she would come to NYC again.

As much as I want to go to her concert in Toronto, it's really not worth it because I'm afraid that I'll be mistreated by the security guards just like what happened to me in Coney Island.

I guess that if I want to see Kayee Tam again, then I'll have to go to Hong Kong.

I'm sorry that I've been ranting a little bit about this. But I just want to let it all out. I'm not looking for pity or anything. This is a website dedicated to Kayee Tam but also a blog about my experience of seeing her at the concert in my hometown.

I'll keep you posted of any updates about Kayee Tam.
